Happy Year of Sivistys!
The Ministry of Education and Culture has designated 2024 as the Year of Sivistys. One of the themes of the year is Culture and art leading the way.
Sivistys is unpredictable and avoids precise definitions made in advance, we live it in our everyday lives in the fields of cultural civic activity!
The Citizens’ Forum’s participates in the Year of Sivistys by:
- organising dialogues during the Week of Sivistys 6.–12.5.
- organising a publication event of our survey of the effects of the cultural hobbies
- promoting sivistys themes in communications
Events will be announced in more detail on our communication channels.
At the same time the Finnish Lifelong Learning Foundation (Kansanvalistusseura KVS) celebrates its 150th anniversary together with other organisations. Organisations can submit their own events to KVS’s event calendar, where they will gain visibility.
