Multicultural Independence day
Finland of different perspectives, cultures and values will be celebrated in a Multicultural Independence Day celebration on 6 December. The event will start with the program, which starts at 13.00 and ends at 15.00. After the program there’s time for refreshments, and the whole event ends at 17.00.
This year, similarly to the previous year’s celebration, the program can also be watched online from the comfort of your home.
The program includes a variety of eccentrically cultural and artistic performances, such as traditional Latvian, Filipino and Latin-American music and dances. The artistic program will also involve a number of poetry, music, and comic performances as well as speeches by representatives of Finland’s multicultural communities.
The main organizer of the event is Moniheli ry. The Citizens’ Forum is a partner in the event, participating in its planning and organisation.
