Basics of Canva

Canva is a free software for creating visual and layout design easily. Canva has several ready-made and customizable templates for different uses from social media to presentations, and even videos. In Canva, you can use images and graphics from library, or your own material, for example logos and brand colors of your association. There is an in-browser, desktop and mobile application versions available.

The training introduces the basics of Canva, and the opportunities it offers. You will also learn how to enhance the accessibility of your designs, with well-chosen fonts and contrast between colors. The training is targeted to everyone interested in learning Canva, but the visual communication of associations and communities is emphasized. The language of the course is English.

The training will be implemented as an online training with the Zoom program. To participate, you need a computer or a mobile device with a network connection. Those who have registered on the course, will be provided with a participation link and instructions before the training.

The instructor of the course is media educator Raisa Laukkanen from Citizens’ Forum.

Additional information and cancellations

The participation fee is payable upon registering for the course in our online store.

Cancellation policy: You can cancel your course participation without an extra charge up to 7 days before the course begins. After this and before the first day of the course, 50 percent of the course fee will be returned. If you do not cancel and do not attend the course, the course fee will not be returned. In case of sickness, the whole course fee will be returned upon presentation of a doctor’s certificate.
