Sustainability
The Citizens’ Forum received the Finnish national Sustainable Development Certification of Educational Establishments granted by the OKKA Foundation. The promotion of sustainability is included in all our activities when we support learning in associations and promote cultural education and active citizenship.
Sustainability has always been an important part of the Citizens’ Forum’s activities. The assessment work and goal setting related to the application process for the Sustainable Certification clarified the ways in which we work to build a sustainable society.
Our first sustainability program extends to 2027. The programme is a plan of which activities of study centre we are developing at any given time and how we know that we have succeeded in our work. The staff of the Citizens’ Forum assess the achievement of the goals annually.
