Use of support

The support can be used, for example, for trainers’ salaries, the rent of training facilities and study materials. If desired, the association can apply for support for several ideas, in which case each must fill in its own application form.

Selection Criteria for Supported Courses

  • The course must be relevant to the organising association and its members.
  • The application clearly describes what the course participants learned.
  • The budget is clear.
  • The course strengthens active citizenship and a sense of community.

Additional Information

The association that has received support will be familiarised with the use of the support. The association itself takes care of planning the training, marketing the course and finding participants. In addition, the association takes care of finding a training space and purchasing materials.

The Citizens’ Forum pays the trainers’ salaries, but the association itself takes care of any other possible expenses and receives support from the Citizens’ Forum after the course. In terms of salary, we follow the hourly fee table for part-time teachers at study centres (in Finnish), in which case the fee is at least 29 € per teaching hour.

The Finnish National Agency for Education’s study voucher subsidy is used to organise the courses.
