Organise a Course

Does your association want to organise a course? Citizens’ Forum provides your association with help planning courses and offers financial support for expenses.

For what can I get help from Citizens’ Forum?

Your association can get financial support for courses when:

  • At least eight people attend
  • The course lasts at least one hour
  • You do not receive other government subsidy for your course

The course can be online or face to face, or a combination of these.

How much financial support can I receive?

The amount of support you can receive depends on how long the course is, and how much it costs to arrange it.

In 2024, the amount can be maximum 50 % of eligible costs. The amount of financial support is for member organisations and their members: maximum 25 €/lesson. NOTE: One lesson is 45 minutes.

You can receive financial support from the Citizens’ Forum when you use the Citizens’ Forum logo in all marketing materials. You can download the Citizens’ Forum logo from the Citizens’ Forum logos webpage. If you share information about the course on your social media channels, please use the hashtag #KansalaisfooruminTuella in the update.

You can find all instructions for applying, implementing and reporting the course support from here:

Skaftuki contact person’s instructions for courses 2024

The course subsidy is central government transfers for study centre operations under article 29.10.31 and is based on the Act on Liberal Adult Education. Read more about the Act on the Finlex website (in Finnish).

How and when to apply?

You can apply in the Skaftuki web service. To use it, you must register. Instructions for registration can be found on the  Skaftuki-service page. If you are applying for a course or lecture for the next calendar year, apply for a “yearly quota” in November of the current year. When applying for the quota, describe:
